DTP / typesetting

I use Microsoft and Adobe applications to translate & typeset materials ranging from government trade mission brochures, through duty free catalogues for major airlines, to hotel advertisements and the like. Business cards are a particular speciality.

Prices vary depending on the length, complexity of the layout, urgency, and so on, but I can often do oriental typesetting in-house at a fraction of the cost of most commercial agencies or printers: many of them actually subcontract the work to me anyway. A typical scenario would be that a designer sends me a PDF of a brochure they are creating; I then enter the Japanese so that it overlays the English precisely, and generate "outline EPS files" which the designer can incorporate back into their Quark Xpress document and send on to the printers.
