Translation

My main business is the provision of professional translation services between Japanese and English, using a wide range of software tools, including most Microsoft and Adobe applications. My clients extend over approximately 24 countries, and range from government departments and multinational corporations in a wide range of industries right down to individual hobbyists. I also sometimes help clients with technical aspects such as software or website localization.

In the UK, prices are generally based on the number of words or characters in the original ("source") document, and quoted in GBP (£) per 1000 words for convenience. Other countries have different conventions: this website offers a simple cost conversion tool.
